Each Daddy Mojo CBG has it's own unique sound and personality; they are made by hand one at a time in our small workshop in Montreal, Canada. They're small, portable and almost indestructible...and let's face it, they look cool as hell and attract major attention!

Daddy Mojo is proud to offer Paypal as an easy way of purchasing your custom cigar box guitar online -- you do not need a Paypal account to take advantage of this new feature.

Got a question? here to send us an email.

Presenting the Daddy Mojo hand painted Relic series:

A while back our chief resident designer Luca "Tripydee" Tripaldi elaborated a series of hand painted instruments for the shop. These were done over a period of two years, between projects whenever inspiration came. Influences range from Russian propaganda posters to WWII aviation decals. We are exited to finally show these off as we've been meaning to do a proper release for quite a while now..

Paul Pigat aka "Cousin Harley" and his Daddy Mojo guitar live in Montreal!

Originally from Toronto, Ontario, Paul Pigat relocated to the West Coast in the early 90’s and has earned a reputation as one of the best guitarists around. Although extremely versatile, from Delta Blues to classical music, Paul’s “Cousin Harley” style is deeply rooted in the playing of Les Paul, Charlie Christian and Link Wray with a modern hotrod twist. He has shared the stage with greats such as Taj Mahal, Michael Kaeshammer, Mae Moore, Lee Aaron and the Blind Boys of Alabama as well as recorded with the likes of Mint Records artists Carolyn Mark and Neko Case to name a few. Inexhaustible energy is what Pigat is known for. He’s the high octane that fuels this trio!

Andrew Whitemans Mojo Gembri!

We've recently designed a 4 string cigar box Gembri (Lute/bass like traditional North African instrument) for guitarist extraordinaire Andrew Whiteman ( Apostle of Hustle, Broken Social Scene). Here is Andrew playing his Gembri in a brilliant and hypnotizing 8 minute short film recorded in the back alleys of Mile-End in Montreal.

Be sure to check out Emma-Lee's latest effort "Never Just A Dream" available now.

Saucy and sweet, pensive and pure, "Never Just A Dream" offers a candid peek inside the romantic heart, creating a hauntingly beautiful musical landscape at once complex and yet familiar. Armed with a voice that transports you, Emma-Lee choses not to rest on this strength alone...she instead puts a sincere focus on becoming a great songwriter and the results of her efforts are fully evidenced throughout "Never Just A Dream".

Toronto based Singer/songwriter Emma-Lee playing her "White Cat" 6 string Daddy Mojo instrument (which she lovingly named "Snowball" as an ode to her beloved childhood cat).

Please note: Due to popular demand one of these Mueller guitars was pre-sold while we were still assembling the instruments and the "In Vain" model sold just last week. The "REPENT" model presently remains available for purchase. These are one of a kind, hand painted, functional works of art painted and signed by Christoph Mueller in Germany and assembled by the Daddy Mojo crew in Montreal, Canada. Please enquire for purchase details.

Artist Christoph Mueller at home (Aachen, Germany) with his Daddy Mojo F-hole Deluxe.

Last year Mr. Mueller did us the honour of designing the new Daddy Mojo logo. He has just now finished working on a trio of limited hand painted instruments which were assembled at our shop.

You absolutely need to check out this unbelievable artist's website!

Here is a short sound clip of the Mueller "In Vain" guitar (the smallest of the three hand painted instruments).

Recording artist (and proud Daddy Mojo ambassador) Arthur Renwick recently met his long time idol David Lindley after a gig in Toronto!

Here are some pics of Arthur and David backstage with a 6 string Deluxe

...and to quote David Lindley's enthusiasm for Daddy Mojo: "Beautiful! I LOooVE these

We recently designed a custom instrument (with vintage sacred heart silk screen and lightning bolt sound holes) for miss Kat Von D and the good folks at LA Ink Tattoo !

Here is a picture of Kat and fellow tattoo artist Hannah Aitchison with their new baby.
